used to go to this restaurant 5 years ago on a regular bases. had not been there since then. Was hoping for a great meal like the past. Very Very disappointed. Wor wonton Soup, don't bother getting this. one shrimp, one 1" long squid. one 1" fake lobster peace. NO noodles. and I got the Sh.ts after. the place had 4 tables and one server. years past there used to be a line up to get in. Don't wast your money here.
I would eat the Beef Satay Pho everyday of the week if I could. I generally eat there 2 to 3 times a week and I love it everytime.
This is the absolute best pho. I would even send my worst enemy here to enjoy this delicious pho
Burnt dumplings, blah spring rolls, and watered down beef satay. Overall a not great experience would avoid.
Probably one of the better places for pho in Calgary. Ordered take out from skipthedishes and the food came quick. Good portion sizes. The pho special was delicious and very flavorful. Have to say that the vegetarian salad rolls were good, however the veggie spring rolls were just ok.
First time here. Small strip mall conveniently located by hotel village. Greeted by very pleasant waitress. Nice atmosphere. The food was delicious!! Large serving, very tasty and prices are very affordable. I cant wait to go back.
I've been ordering from here online every once in a while and always enjoy their phos, buns and salad rolls! Gave some other dishes a try such as the beef and snow peas and was kind of disappointed by how thin and watery the sauce was. Tasted ok. Definitely order the phos or buns if its your first time.
Quick and easy lunch, food is good, prices are decent
Really disappointed with the food . Me and my friend have ordered Vermicelli with Charbroiled Seasoned Chicken, Shrimp, and Beef. Chicken was very dry , shrimp was over cooked , vegetables too! too few , spring rolls “blah”, they forgot to add an ingredient. Lacking taste and quality. The Service was mediocre. The atmosphere was also lacking, but an unpleasant odour was plenty. I’d rather eat at the nearby McDonalds any day. I really love Vietnamese; a very unfortunate experience . Will never be back
The portion sizes were pretty large, but it was pretty much all noodles, hardly anything else. Vegetables were clearly not fresh either. The interior was lacking to say the least. I can see why this place was so empty at the time of my visit.
The food has always been consistently good.
Delicious food and friendly service. The food comes quickly and our order is always correct. Kids and adults in our family enjoy the menu choices. Great meal at reasonable prices.
Very large selection and fresh food. Great, fast service
Big portion, value price, good taste. Highly recommended!
Very nice Vietnamese food! Nice ambient and people!
I don't like writing reviews but I have to make an exception. This place made me physically ill. It tastes okay but tastes even worse coming back up, stay away.
Ginger beef and dumplings were excellent!!
There was very nice waitress. I like this cuisine. I was satisfied.
Good reasonable price food and service. Cheap beer too!
The best coconut slush in town!! Service is always friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Beef sate soup is a winner - an easy decision when in the area and wanting a quick meal.
found this place unintentionally; my friend needed to go to the washroom so she ran inside while i ordered some banh mi. We shared this later at lunch and it was, by far the best banhmi we've ever had. We had other stuffs from the place but their subs are the best really.
Nice staff and good service but the pho was lacking in taste.
Delicious food, super friendly staff, and great atmosphere. Would recommend!
Amazing food. My favorite is #56, very rich flavours. I live it!! Highly recommended 😀
I am being generous here! Service was excellent but they are cheap, cheap, cheap with every single aspect from decor to food...plastic dishes? OMG! In 2019 with competition down the street? Embarrassing. Dry food and overall "used" feeling. This may be a City staple for longevity, but certainly needs a lift in every way :(
Saigon Y2K is by far one of the best places in the city to get your Vietnamese fix. Not only are the portions extremely generous (and for the price!) the amount of toppings and quality of food was exceptional. This is a family owned business run with the utmost care and pride and it shows. The customer service is only matched by the superior quality in their foods. Highly recommend checking this place out - you won't regret it!
What a sad meal. We ordered via Skip, and what we got was a severe let-down. The "lemongrass chicken" on our Būn tasted like it was steamed - no salt, bland, sad, and dry. The "pork meatball" we added to our lemongrass chicken was thin slices of dried old meat of some sort. No cucumber. No shredded carrot. No lettuce. No lime. No mint. Just some sad bean sprouts and steamed broccoli and cauliflower (1flourette of each... So generous...) The fish sauce, bland. The vermicelli, dried out. Satay peanut sauce was watered down.We also tried the quail. Overcooked. The Vietnamese Sub? Almost no veg (just a tiny bit of carrot and one spear of cucumber), cilantro wilted, three whole thin slices of jalapeno. Dried up chicken, and had to pay extra to get cheese, without that the bread would have been totally dried out.Steamed rice, dried out.Waste of money.
The meal was great tasting and wonderful .
Our go to resturant, the staff is so amazing and the food is even better
Basic and food is ok. They do have Vietnamese pho, vermicelli, variety of rice and other fried noodles and Vietnamese subs. Prices are a bit high for the quality and portion. Service is ok.
Saigon Y2K always has amazing food I have been going there for years and our kids who are adults now go! There's something for everyone no matter whether you are vegan, a carnivore or a soupivore:-) They always aim to please they have great hours and the staff is amazing! You should really treat yourself too good healthy food with amazing flavor at Saigon Y2K.
Good soup and nice restaurant
My Vietnamese restaurant of preference. Good food, but specially really fast. Need to add also the cheap prices.
I asked for no tripe and they gave me extra....gross. Also way too much fat and no brisket. Fresh rolls were decent.
I used to eat here all the time. Lots of fresh varied veggies, lots of meat, seasoned amazingly.NOW? Sprouts that have been sitting out for hours, a tiny scoop of carrots (used to be carrots, lettuce, and cucumbers), bland fish sauce, unseasoned chicken and shrimp (if I wanted that, I would've ordered some white people food, but even that would've had more seasoning), and RANCID peanutsI treat myself to Viet once in a while. I was excited to relive my university days and order from here while at work. If this is the way they serve their food now; I can see why the downtown location closed.Don't order from here. Waste of money.
Love it here! Prices have recently gone up, but they're still quite reasonable for tasty Vietnamese food! Its our favourite place for fried rice and the vermicelli. The staff is always nice and punctual and the food is delivered quickly. We'd come here more if we lived closer!
I really enjoyed the beef satay soup - huge serving and great value for the price! Very friendly staff too.
Great flavour and lots of food for the price fantastic loved it. Will be back
Always fast, friendly and some of the best satay soup in town. They make the satay from scratch and its consistently well spiced and excellent. Try it! You'll become a regular.
Always excellent food and service.
Special Pho and Satay Beef are perfect for the cool Calgary weather.
Consistently good food, but they could really use an extra couple of service staff during peak hours.
A good place for some great vietnamese food. A well hidden gem. The pho portion is more than generous. Great food for a low price.
Pleasantly surprised to be honest. Stopped in for a quick meal, not only was it super fast, but the portions were quite big for what you paid and the service was surprisingly really good. The wait staff was a tad on the quiet side, but what I prefer instead of being interrupted every 5 minutes asking if the food is ok, so this was a very very nice change. Underrated establishment to be honest, especially for portion sizes. Overall was a very good experience.
Good price, delicious food and friendly staff. Perfect place to be, when your in the mid for Vietnamese food:
Probably the best Satay Beef Pho I've ever had! Prices are more than fair for the ample portions. My new favorite PHO place in the city.
The service is good which offsets the food which was okay.
Amazing food with great portioning, will definitely be recommending to friends and family
Best ginger beef I've ever had! Staff is incredibly personable and when my fiance couldn't finish her vermicelli they were sure to ask if there was anything wrong with it!
I work near here, and unfortunately there are hardly any eating out options. This is i would say middle of the road for the options around here. It's very consistently "ok". Does the job. This last time though the vermicelli was dissappointing. Hardly any veggies, only bean sprouts really.
